When does kirby actually close? 3 Months ago Karma: 0
Hi Guys,

I've done a bit of digging but not found much yet and just wondered if there was a set date for when kirby will close?? Also, are there any timings for when it will be open again? Am I missing something really obvious?

Thanks

You'd think by now contracts would be well in place, in which case times and dates also, so why no info. Is it deffo happening this year? The boat people seem to get better service/contacts, any answers there?

the planning application is only at the consultation stage. basically until that's complete there won't be any dates. It probably won't have been tendered yet either so could be a while before anything happens.

fgsake, i've spoken with the staff at the lake several times this year about this (and how licence holders get a refund). I was told that work would start in Oct/Nov and continue for 3 months! (probably longer given the nature of the work and the time of year it's being attempted).
It seems that no one really knows, you'd think it would be a very simple task to put a notice up in the changing rooms keeping lake users informed. But if planning permission is still required....................
