Sailing from Rhoscolyn to Rhosneigr 3 Months, 1 Week ago Karma: 0
http://maps.google.co.uk/maps?hl=en&tab=wl

I will be staying at Rhoscolyn (near Rhosneigr) over the weekend.
Can anyone see any problems in sailing between the two ?
(wind shadows, rocks, tidal currents from the inland sea etc etc)

Weather forecast
http://www.windguru.cz/int/index.php?go=1&vs=1&sc=47842&wj=mph&tj=c&odh=3&doh=22&fhours=180

Tides
http://easytide.ukho.gov.uk/EASYTIDE/EasyTide/ShowPrediction.aspx?PortID=0479&PredictionLength=7

What is the more northerly end of "Rhosneigr" bay like for wave sailing ?
(The sweep of sand to the north the long line of rock)
If it is as good as the "normal beach" then this would shorten the trip.

Cheers

Steve

Note the deathly silence on the reply front.... do you think it is too late to call the RNLI?

Hehe - Hiya Slim!! How goes things? Sounds like you are in a great sailing venue now, lucky sod!!

Yep - this dude does appear to have gone worryingly silent..... Maybe he just sails slow.... REALLY slow... I'm sure he'll turn up soon.....

Yeah, I didn't do it. I drove. I surveyed the route from a high point and it looked much further.
Just going to Rhosneigr would be do-able. Big beach to hit, rig for current conditions etc.
Coming back after and hour or so... very small beach to hit on rocky shoreline, conditions may have changed.
Plus RNLI on strike.
Windy all weekend. Two good Rhosneigr sessions.
