Hi Scott. I'd just nipped on to the forum to post the same question.

It's still early days in forecasting terms, but the charts are currently showing NE / E, which are of course 'awkward squad' directions. Lligwy and Llanddona are the two spots that I know of that might work. Rcut has also previously mentioned that Fleetwood works in Easterly directions (though obviously not qualifying as an Anglesey venue). Anyway, I'm also looking for somwhere to go and will follow this thread with interest.

Oh, one other possibility is I think Rhossi can work in a NE in a flat water, offshore, blasty, free_style_y sort of way.

Edit, from doing a bit of homework. Nefyn sounds as though it might also work in E / NE. See F-O-N . I've never sailed there or even been there though. Anyone else know, or have better suggestions?

Yep, Fleetwood would work in that direction, not much in the way of waves but ok for blasting high & low tide. I'm off to spain on saturday but if i wasn't i'd consider exploring the NE coast for a couple days, had a mate across there this week & says there's some cracking beaches.

Big problem for the weekend is the fact that the strongest winds all seem to be forcast for the places that don't work in a NEly (not sure about Isle of Man - that looks pretty good). Llanfairfechan and Penmaenmawr should be good wind wise and the tide is o.k. as well, not sure about waves in this direction though and obviously bloody starboard tack!
Not much swell about either.

Cheers Ken

There's a parallel thread going on the Boards forum and Steve Thorpe also seemed to be suggesting Penmaenmawr.

I'll stay tuned here tomorrow and hopefully catch up with some of you wherever seems to be a good bet then.
