I have been offered a holiday, in Albufeira near Faro in Portugal, but can't seem to find any info about windsurfing in the area. Has anyone ever been there or know of any local windsurfing spots?

Hi K59. Not sure about Albufiera, but if you check out my recent review on Alvor it may help give you a flavour of the area, as we were not too far from there. Mondeoman has also been to the same area, and might know your spot better and be able to offer some help too. It's a lovely place to have a holiday whatever you end up doing. Tim

Went last year on family holiday for 2 weeks, didn't see anyone windsurfing but there was no wind anyway.
The weather was HOT!! but the sea was very cold so you will need ur wetsuit.
Not a very lively place.
Don't fall for the damaged hire car scam like I did, threatening to chin the scammer will only make you miss ur flight home :>P
Oh and the food is expensive!!
