We all got our bargain tickets from an online company - dreamticket.com - it was about the same price, but ws all nclusive.

I'd strongly advise asking whatever companys you approach how much extra it would cost for all inclusive.... It will make a massive difference to your holiday and will be worth every penny... if its reasonable of course, which i expect it will be..

Also see my article on Mauritius on www.seaspritesports.com/news/article143.php
I bought a lonely plannet to reasearch my first trip 3 years ago, you might find it useful; also World Storm rider guide came in handy for knowing when to go! Also try club mistral who rent out appartments pic pic, very cheap but you'll need to get flights and hire a bike to the centre at the hotel

Have a great trip, Carl

Hi ric, you hav emade a good choice in where to go, but i would say that you could probably save a lot more cash by staying in the rented apartments mentioned in Peglegs blog. we stayed at Cloudbreak villas accomodation in La Gaulette see http://www.apartmentmauritius.com/marisa.php the apartments were a high standard and were cheap as chips... £15-20 quid per night I think and the guy who runs the outfit, Ben was super friendly and able to sort scooters, pick up trucks etc... so you could take your own kit and get it to the beach. I did not, I just hired from Mistral and always got what I wanted. (check their deals... I found out that they did a package where you could get 40 hours-I think, and you just use these hours when the wind is blowing rather than hiring per day) I cant remember the cost but it was far more reasonable than hiring kit on the daily rate...
One of the other upsides was that we were able to eat in some of the MUCH cheaper local restaurants where the food was Fecking marvellous and really cheap! Check out the the one opposite the supermarket in La Gualette.. does not look much but was better than any of the hotel grub that we had in the swanky resorts....
Anyway, good luck, but I am sure that you will get away with less than £1100 pp....
Have fun!! And Rotis!!
