I've been to rhossy today and it ws fantastic. Great to be back out on a 4.2 and over powered with logo high waves and the rest.
Absolutely exhausted after an hour but with some lucozade and a break managed another 1 1/2 hrs on the water.
Just love the autumn conditions. Probably would have been alittle better with a little less wind but we don't want to complain!!
Saturday looks a great forecast so see you down there!!
Dave

Mornin'
Yeah - sorry, forcasts have not been happening of late - been on hols, and then done so much rippin laterly that I've been unable to type - got the sh!t kicked out of me by rhosneigr yesterday - consider yourselves lucky you weren't there except Dave (above) - well done mate, hangin on to a sail like that all day - which one were ya? I was on the fanatic goya with holey 4m sail.
Weather for the w/e - as usual - a bit vague, sorry - but that's the fine art of forecasting for ya.
friday
kirby - SW about 10 kts all day - good for big kites cos tides up at 1.20pm - 8.99m - I think I'll be there to give it a whirl - the boss is off again.
Rhossy - SW about15 - 17 kts all day - but i'm never going there again after the kicking I got in the waves yesterday.
saturday
kirby - 14kts W all day, although theyr is showing force 5 westerlies at both kirby and rhossy at the mo', so keep a close eye on what it does.
Rhossy - If you get there early - by 9 - it will be mighty windy - about 30kts - slowly decreasing to 18 kts W by mid day for the rest of the day - could be a cracker of a 4 & 5m day if u don't mind the drive and are feeling lucky.
Sunday
kirby - F 4/5 SW, according to theyr. However, windguru puts it a bit lower than that at lower end of F4 ...... hmmmm.
Rhossy - F 6/7 SW according to theyr.F 5 from windguru.....
My recommendation - beat the crowds & get to Rhossy very early on saturday and rig yer smallest sail (but don't camp over night cos you'll get blown away). Then again, I'm a bit biased cos I'm stuck at a family lunch on sunday.

The tide tables for WK are showing 8.9m Saturday lunchtime and 8.67 on Sunday. Is that worth making a 2 hour journey for? Can anyone say how long before and after high tide is sailable at those levels please?
Thanks, Johmo

Strictly speaking 1 hour either way
In reality more like 2 either way but you need to start off from the far end of the lake and recover there and you may have a bit of a walk.
If you do that, it's best to team up with someone else, or follow the last other sailor home.....
