Brilliant another exile. Loads of places like Penmaenmawr,Llanfairfechan and Fforyd Bay (pronounced Vorid just to confuse people). North Wales is just a big playground...enjoy!!

Does this mean we're going to get more North Wales specific weather reports ?

Thanks for all these reponses! Keep 'em coming. You've made me much happier!

Ken - I'll almost certainly be beating you to Rhossy now (well, from Januaryish anyways)! Hehe. My main reasons for moving are to get nearer the sea, away from all the traffic, fresh air etc etc... & I managed to get the same job I do now, but over there! Handy...

Glad to hear that Deganwy is such a popular spot - I may even invest in another kite, given that its so good there..... Ssshhh - don't tell anyone...

Congratulations Dave. This is the first and some say most difficult step up the social ladder (Manchester to Wales). By next summer you may be able to attend a BBQ at mine on the Wirral (although you'll be in a quarantined area for a while). After several more visits, your access to the Wirral will be 'free' and unlimited. After a couple of years you may be allowed through the tunnel to God's own country (although with Mancunian roots this will always have to be chaperoned).
Having said that if you make further purchases of a kite related nature, you're gonna blow it all and be sent back with a one way ticket to Moss Side.

Gone very quiet lately Shawn. How's the move going? Havn't seen you down Rhossy for a while either or can't you get out in the week any more? Can't beleive you would give up Rhossy for the West shore :_blink_:

Alright matey!!

Wales - has been put on hold... A few things cropped up which made me rethink plans & decided to stay in the well reknowned surf mecca of Stockport for a while longer...

I've not been down at Rhossy - or anywhere for that matter, since early december - I spanked my neck in the gym and have been out of action since.. Its been a good excuse not to expose myself to the sub zero temperatures though!

I was out sailing on Friday for the 1st time in ages - on the tide at Kirby.. after i remembered how to rig up my kit! Had great fun & was very pleasantly surprised at the temp - I wasn't cold at all - not even any finger pain!! My neck is about 95% better & wasn't made worse by friday. However - 2 months off the water over silly season has caused my teeny wave board to sink a little lower in the water than I am used to!!! Time to start running again!

So - I'm back in action from now on! See ya at Rhossy!
