September - El-Tur 16 Years, 9 Months ago Karma: 16
I'm looking at sorting a holiday out to El Tur (Egypt) in early Sept. The dates I am looking at are:

9 nights - 11sept - 20th sept. £229.00 (flights only)

I will post the rest of the costs as soon as I have the info, but i dont expect they will be too much - if you are interested please let me know so I have an idea how many may want to go (nothing definate yet).

Its an 'economy' holiday. The accomodation is pretty good, the food is 'unusual' (although I'm assured they have a new chef this year - not without reason, although I quite enjoyed curry for breakfast!). The sailing is flat water, large swell, or onshore waves - whatever u wish! Warm enough to sail in shorts.

Hiya Ken

I'm still hoping to get away somewhere warm & windy - nothin' booked yet. I've been discussing the possibility of Maritius with Alex, sometime for 2wks in the latter half of Sepetember - Pegleg will be there at that time too.

It looks to be costing about £1200 for 2wks, but thats all inclusive, at the indian resort (superb luxury hotel, right on the beach!).

It's quite a bit more expensive than el tur, but the conditions are also quite a bit more idyllic!! (El Tur is really good though!).

Can't say my Mrs is right chuffed about me beggaring off to paradise for 2 wks, but erm.. as she cant get the time off work, it looks like it'll be 100% windsurfing trip - shame - I was looking forward to looking at castles & museums - hehe

Interested?

Gonna be looking at it in more detail very shortly (sorry Alex, i've still not done it yet!).

I'm off to Sunsail club Phokai in Turkey begining of September so getting away at the end of September as well might be pushing it a bit (not ruling it out completely though)
There's no way my missus would let me go to Mauritius without taking her.
