Yeh - I made one of them today when I put a HUGE hole in the main panel of my 5.0m - rigged a 4.5m and got just the same performance.

Trouble is its going to cost a lot to "zip" up the hole

P.S. jenna is one lovely looking lady - almost on a par with Suze I think.

on a serious subject i think an adjustable sail rocks. it'd be particularly good for intermediates who have no idea what size to go out on. i often find at carsy that i need a large sail in "the bay" where theres a huge windshadow and a smaller one out on the lake proper. we've discussed this requirement in our design forums down the local quite a bit so i reckon theres demand!!!

hey suze,

how are ya it's michael from aus again! (sorry for not regestering cause it seems so easy to do it this way.)

I'd be very interested in talking about those discussions u and ur locals had.

What would u want from an adjustable sail?

What sizes do u normally use to sail with?

ur experiences of windsurfing and thoughts?

and stevescott, that thought came into my heaqd this morning aswel. I thought about hinge pieces of monofilm that can close and open holes in a sail.

I'm getting more excited about this project as more topics and ideas rise!!

thanks again

Michael

Remember a sail does not get pushed allong , it gets sucked allong. Holes in a sail will cause drag and likely control problems.
